Decline in unemployment in Poland

According to the Central Statistical Office, August unemployment rate registered in Poland fell to 7%, where in July this year. it was 7.1%. At the end of August, the number of unemployed and registered Poles in the Labor Offices was at the level of 1 million 136.1 thousand, which means an improvement of 3.9 thousand compared to the previous month.

The CSO also reported that the average employment in the corporate sector in August this year was 6 million 25.6 thousand people (4.5% more than in July this year).

The highest increase in employment was recorded in administration and support (by 9.8%) and in catering (by 9.3%), while the largest decrease in mining and quarrying (by 3.6%) and the generation and supply of electricity, gas steam and hot water (1.5 percent).
