Cost of raising children in Poland grows

Raising a child in Poland from birth to the age of 18 costs up to PLN 200,000 (EUR 48,000) – up by five percent in two years – the Adam Smith Centre think-tank has said.

In a report released on Children’s Day, marked on 1 June, the think-tank said raising a second child costs 80 percent more.

The rising cost of living is pushing up the cost of raising children. State-controlled prices, such as energy, were growing. We are paying ever more for extra-curricular education and health care.
